Our Easter Egg Hunt is over and all we can say is WOW! You did not disappoint when it came to supporting this great cause.

We managed to collect nearly 600 – yes you read correctly – 600 chocolate eggs over the 4 weeks we were hunting!!!

Our first donation went to Millwood Primary Special School in Bury. A school very close to the hearts of the MLC. Millwood is a primary school for pupils aged 2-11 with very complex medical needs, severe learning difficulties and delays, autism, challenging behaviour, epilepsy, communication difficulties and sensory and multi-sensory impairments. Our remaining eggs went to Humans MCR. Their work around food poverty seeks to give respect, health, dignity and hope to those in our communities via a suite of short and long-term solutions that tackle food insecurity faced by residents in Greater Manchester. This charity is also very close to us here in Manchester and we see first hand the positivity they can bring to those in our communities.

There are too many Lodges and individuals to thank personally. We didn’t just have support in the Province of East Lancashire but from all across the UK and even some from across the pond!

Huge thanks to the team here who went out to purchase and collect eggs from all the donations that came in. Thanks to our Deputy Chairman Aaron Garner and Head of Fundraising and Events Tom Daniel for distributing our haul too.

Thanks again to everyone involved, you’ve helped create a lot of smiles this Easter.
